I am a frequent customer and come here most mornings for breakfast. I always receive great customer service, especially from Sara. She is always friendly, attentive, and provides excellent customer care. Her kindness makes my visits even more enjoyable!ππ

The same good food I remember. I had the tomato basil soup, of course. Sandwich was delicious and the bread was the star. Followed it all up with a delicious little creme brulee dessert.

This place was a favorite of mine every time Iβm in Old Town but the new renovation is horrible. Think Cracker Barrel but even more sterile. They took every bit of charm out of that place and turned it into a cold, white box with no separation between βroomsβ and all of the French country decor. They switched all of the solid wood furniture and wood flooring for cheap, laminate flooring and nothing little modern cafeteria-style tables. Iβve never seen a more soulless renovation and honestly, itβs ruined the experience for me.

This spot is a favorite of a local relative so we visited for Brunch. Iβve visited some of the locations in Houston for coffee/ pastries. Decent size interior with some outdoor seating and semi busy on a Thursday around noon. Order at counter and they bring your food out to your table. There was a small queue so the manager opened up a second line and called us over which was a nice touch. Ordered a BYO omelette with spinach, mushrooms and Swiss cheese-added a 1/2 avocado. Solid omelette and came out soft as ordered. Eggs with French toast -no bacon were also enjoyed. Cappuccino was not as strong as I like but was ok. Will get an extra shot next time. Service was friendly and our food came out in a timely manner. Overall, good for pastries, breakfast and coffee.

La Madeleine is a beautiful French bakery with a charming and inviting atmosphere. The service was very good; friendly and attentive. However, the food itself was not amazing. The pastry were not heated up when served. Even after requesting them to be warmed, they still were not heated properly, which took away from the overall experience. On a positive note, the hot chocolate was good and comforting. Overall, itβs a lovely place to sit and enjoy the ambiance, but I do wish there was more attention to detail when it comes to serving the food as expected
